Strife to become the person that you would pick to be on your team if you were someone else

I'm a man who's made mistakes, plenty of mistakes that I've even often had to wrestle with suicidal thoughts due to the shame that wrong choices bring after we face consequences for our actions.

I can't pretend to be the example to follow so as the saying goes, do as I say and not as I do.

Today at work I got to encourage a co-worker after she shared about her husband being incarcerated and how she felt about it. She said something that made my spirit feel their despondency as I've had some serious charges brought against me in my past and having an unsure moment as to what's gonna happen in during the time awaiting trial it gets so heavy on ones heart that even leads to moments of hopelessness.

She said he was reading his bible and been praising God and this last time she talked to him he was sad saying he didn't wanna die in prison.

That got my mouth speaking God's Word too to her as I got close to God during my imprisoning also.

A broken and contrite spirit God cannot resist I told her.

She said she wished she could memorize scripture like that also and I told her I didn't even think it up. There's moments when we are used as channels by God to share His Word so I felt like it was actually Him speaking through me like He has before in the past spoke through the prophets, apostles and primitive church.
